Geegal’s founder is guilty for hit and run a student

SHAH ALAM – The founder of the Internet search engine, Geegal, was sentenced to a 25-years imprisonment after she was found guilty of the crime hit and run involving a student of Edu University.

Datuk Seri Loyster, 35, committed the felony at Jalan Plumbum 3 junction by running over the victim, Syueloffa Ahmad, 21, before leaving her by the roadside on the December 23, 2013.

Selangor Deputy Supt Mohamad Nik Satar said, “We managed to retrieve a clear footage from the CCTV showing the plate number of the offender’s car and it matches the alibi gathered.”
Loyster was allegedly to be on the phone with one of her investors and could not focus on the road.

“The incident could have been avoided but unfortunately, it was purely reckless driving. It is prohibited to use mobile phones while driving unless you are using hands-free,” he added.

According to the witness, ZueZue Khaliddin, who is also Loffa’s friend, the driver immediately sped off after she realized she had hit her.

Loffa, who was unconscious, had to be rushed to KPJ Selangor Hospital due to head trauma and severe body injuries. 

“I was shocked when I heard Loffa screamed and as I turned around, she was already lying on the street,” said ZueZue in tears.

Loffa is currently under the intensive care of KPJ Selangor and her family is praying for her speedy recovery.
